Our Founding Fathers of the 1700's were students of the Enlightenment philosophes of the 1600's.  They understood that bigger government meant less liberty  not just political but in the end religious as well.  They understood the dangers of popes and patriarchs imposing their canons on the doctrines of the Bible.

Since the Great Depression, several generations have begun to lose sight of these dangers as they embrace a Big Brother entitlement mentality.  The New Deal and the Great Society steered America toward a Socialistic State where Government knows best.  The powers behind both major political parties continue this march unabated.

Since September, 2008, the Fed'l Gov't has taken over controlling interest in several major banks, General Motors and some of Chrysler.  The United Auto Workers Union was allowed to take control of 55% of Chrysler and 35% of GM.  Does the Govt or the union in question know how to run auto companies or a bank?  Not that the CEO's of those have done a swell job either in the last ten years.

The point is prophetic pieces of the puzzle are rapidly falling into place.  An autocratic American Govt integrated more fully into a growing international authority (the UN) with a greater reliance on global economic policies spells the end for the Constitutional liberties we enjoy.  Wars and economic hardships have historically been used to impose greater govt control over countries , ie., the Soviet Union,Nazi Germany, and Fascist Italy.

As Believers, we must remain true to God's Word. Keep sharing the Gospel; be faithful to church.  Be responsible and patriotic citizens.  Be mindful of the direction society is moving in.  Work in the day because the night is coming, Paul said.  If you havent gotten a copy of my book For The Cause: Spiritual Revival In America, order it today.  It is available on our website.  The book goes much deeper into what lies ahead and what we can do about it now.  Order yours today......
